Fratelli Casati snc is a medium-sized company with dynamic flexibility and resourcefulness. These same characteristics came from the company founders who got the idea of FLOCK over sixty years ago. Flock is a textile powder made from cut and/or ground fibres that are dyed, chemically processed, dried and sifted. The millions of short cut fibres which make flock are then fixed by an electrostatic machine into a flat or three-dimensional surface which has been previously coated with adhesive. This is the so called FLOCKING process.
When the company was founded, Fratelli Casati relied on fabric scraps, particularly velvet, from other processes, to produce flock. Today, thanks to advanced technologies and to the company’s innovative spirit, we are able to produce flock that has high-level technical and visual aesthetic characteristics through the use of various kinds of natural and synthetic fibres. That has allowed us to consolidate relationships with many of the most important fashion, furnishing, packaging and automotive industries. We create flock in an infinite range of colours to meet market demands – and, our colours are resistant to washing, light, abrasion and dry or wet perspiration thanks to constant development of vanguard dying techniques.
