The laboratory makes use of many high-tech instruments, which have been set and certified by specific institutions.
Clients can ask the laboratory to draw up a technical fact sheet with the flock's workability parameters for each lot of material produced.
The Flock Association of Europe set the parameters that have to be included in the technical fact sheet. They are:
- Textometer
- Drop
- Wetting level
- Sieving test

Textometer:
test to measure flock’s electrostatic charge. It measures the flock’s capacity to conduct electricity generated by a flocking plant and to perpendicularly lay on the su face to be flocked.
Drop: test to check the suitable finish on the flock to grant it properly works in the electrostatic field of a flocking plant.
Wetting level: test to measure flock’s permeability. It simulates the penetration time of flock into the adhesive on the surface to be flocked.
Sieving test:
test to measure the flock’s suppleness and its workability in the flocking plant. |
