Man-made fibre with a wide range of linear densities. You can get mat, polished or body-died fibres.
Viscose flock can be used in various sectors and for many different applications.
Surfaces flocked with viscose can have the most different features (polished or mat) and they can be as soft as leather, or as compact as velvet. Abrasion resistance is good and it depends on the kind of flock.
Ground rayon flock
It derives from crop ends of discontinuous threads and therefore it is suitable just to grinding but not to cutting.
Flocked surfaces' softness may vary and their abrasion resistance is acceptable.

Viscose rayon flock
It is produced from tow (a sheaf of continuous and parallel fibres) of rayon viscose. It is said that rayon viscose is a man-made fibre (not synthetic) because it is obtained from cellulose got out, in turn, from wood. As a result, it is a biodegradable fibre.
This material enables to get most different kinds of flock: from 0.3 mm to 10 mm long. This is possible because these fibres are available in a wide range of counts (diameter): from 0.75 Dtex to 22 Dtex.
["0,75 Dtex" indicate the mass in grams per 100 metres. It is therefore much thinner than a "20 Dtex" fibre which weighs 22 grams per 100 metres]
