Casati Bros was officially launched in 1952 as a flocks producer, after an over ten-year experience in textile field.
Casati Bros. starts by printing blankets and bed spreads for a well-known and important company, that suggests to the Casati to find an idea for fabrics decoration.
From the scraps of velvet-manufacture produced by this firm, the Casati founders took rise to the realization of decorative subjects which had velvet effects: they put the same scraps in special spray guns to apply them on lamps-shade previously covered over with glue to anchor the fibre to the material base. From this working came the "flocking" conception and the idea to produce on one's own the first matter without using the scraps of other textile workings. The flock, for its lightness and the final shape, similar to the powder completely identifies itself with this word.
Casati Bros. is a medium-size firm whose characteristic is a marked flexibility to meet specific and individual customer's requests: it works to order reproducing any colour, applying different types of dye: direct, fast, reactive, nylon, indanthrene, sulphur. It has an equipped workshop to satisfy various tests of solidity in compliance with UNI and ISO regulations and continually check the technical features of the flock: conductivity, electrostatic drop, imbibenza, residual of sieving. It is very advanced in the realization of patterns (quantities of 0,3 Kg more or less) and for the ability to apply different techniques of flocking.
